You may qualified for free shipping inside 48 contiguous united states if your subtotal is $100 or higher, you are qualified for free shipping to any address in the contiguous US.
We take pride in providing you with fast, dependable and safe delivery service. Each order is shipped using one of our 3 standard methods - whichever one is best suited for your order.
Note: All orders will be charged a processing fee of $5.99
Shipping Methods
1) Standard ground - Small Parcel.
Small-to-medium sized orders will ship using UPS, Fed Ex, at no expense to you if the order is above $100. We will email you a tracking number so you can track the order and check on the delivery date. Shipments usually arrive 3-7 business days from the time they leave the warehouse.
(Note: While Shop Area Rugs does not require a signature on small parcel deliveries, it is ultimately up to the driver's discretion. If delivery without a signature is desired, it is advised you leave a note on the door with suitable instructions.)
Expedited Shipping Services are available including, Next Day, 2-Day, 3-Day Services. Shop Area Rugs will not be liable for expedited shipping charges due to delay in the lead time of an order. Expedited shipping services are offered only to speed up the Transit Time. We have no control over the in-house time of an order (time prior to shipment) and do not guarantee or promise delivery dates. Therefore, we request that our customers plan ahead and place timely orders that allow for both in-house and the transit time. Lead times that are stated on the product pages represent the Average time frame a manufacturer is shipping their product and are not to be taken as a guarantee. Instead, they should be used as an estimate guideline for the lead times. 2) Truck Freight - Large items
Larger items will ship via truck freight. Items shipped freight are delivered to curbside or driveway only and may incur a $75 oversized item surcharge; for any additional delivery needs or questions, please contact our customer service via email Customerservice@ShopAreaRugs.com - (866) 640-0336 or Live Chat. Truck freight orders require that someone is available to accept the delivery. Most carriers will contact you to set up a delivery time, usually a 2-4 hour appointment window during normal business hours.
If the carrier is unable to contact the customer, the customer will then be responsible for any storage fees, freight charges back to the manufacturer in addition to the original shipment expense.
3) Shop Area Rugs White Glove Delivery
Certain items will ship using our deluxe White Glove delivery service. Common white glove shipments include large furniture items (dining sets, etc) and items requiring special care.
With white glove service, a professionally trained and experienced delivery team will unload item(s) off the truck, carry it up to a maximum of 2 flights of stairs, and place it inside your room of choice. Depending on the item, the delivery team may also provide light set-up and debris removal.

On all white glove deliveries, the carrier will contact you to schedule a 4-hr delivery window.
Estimated transit time
Our customer service representative will notify you by email the lead time of the purchased product, and let you know of the estimated arrival time of the product. Once we acquired the tracking number from manufacturer you will be up dated through second email. You can see the estimated transit time as per below:
Standard Ground: 1-6 Days
Truck Freight: 2-7 Days
White Glove: 10-14 Days
Outside the 48 Contiguous United States
Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or Puerto Rico will incur an additional charge of $100 per package for all rugs 6’x9’ and under, $200 per package for rugs between 6’x9’ and 10’x12’ and $390 for all items larger than 10’x12’. A shipping charge will be added for any promotional items such as a free pad, runner or scatter rug.

Please note that ShopAreaRugs.com is not responsible for any taxes, duties or fees including Brokerage fees and Customs that are associated with any purchase. These additional charges are the responsibility of the customer.
International Shipping Policy
If the order is being shipped to a location outside of the continental United States and is not one of the locations mentioned above, the shipping costs are not included in the price of the product. At ShopAreaRugs.com we do our best to provide you with accurate shipping times for our products. The times are estimates only.
Shipping times are provided to us by each manufacturer and is an estimate of the average number of business days it takes the manufacturer to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These shipping times are not a guarantee. ShopAreaRugs.com is not liable for costs associated with shipment delays.
Damaged & Defective Goods Policy
We understand that occasionally a product may get damaged in transit, or there may be a manufacturer product defect. Rest assured, we will stand by you during this process and make sure we do everything we can to bring it to a satisfying and timely conclusion- at no expense to you. For us to offer this level of service, however, we need a little help from your side in the form of a detailed product inspection immediately upon delivery. This will make things much easier if you decide to return the item.
Small Package Deliveries
For UPS or FedEx deliveries that are damaged in transit, please contact our customer service team immediately instead of refusing the package via Customerservice@ShopAreaRugs.com -(866) 640-0336 or Live Chat. If damages are reported within 48 hours for UPS or Fed-Ex deliveries, we can file a claim on behalf of the customer and work to promptly resolve it. Please be aware that replacements or refunds can be hindered or denied if the customer fails to notify ShopAreaRugs.com of defective or damaged merchandise within two business days of receipt.
Large Package Deliveries
Immediate inspection is especially important when receiving large items (such as dining sets, or other furniture) from LTL, White Glove and common freight carriers. In this case, it is important to write down any damage on the bill of lading or receipt when you sign for the delivery, even if the package appears only slightly damaged.
Customers who sign for delivery and do not write "damage" assume responsibility if merchandise is damaged. If the product itself appears significantly damaged, you may refuse delivery. Please notify ShopAreaRugs.com of refusal so we can anticipate the return and send out a new item.
ShopAreaRugs.com will repair or replace the damaged or defective goods for no additional charge. If a return is desired instead of replacement, the "Standard Return Policy" above applies and there may be a restocking fee and our initial shipping and handling costs will be deducted from the credit.
Failure to follow return procedure for the damaged item may result in a charge for the free replacement item.
Returned items that are found to be in good condition or shipped as ordered may not be eligible for a refund. In such a case ShopAreaRugs.com will email you for your decision on whether to ship the item back to you at your expense or be refunded with a 50% restocking fee and store credit.
