Do you offer a warranty? All products come with a standard warranty against manufacturers defect. Most manufacturers offer a 1 year warranty against defects. We only select the finest manufacturers with top reputations for quality assurance.
Will my item look exactly like the picture? ShopAreaRugs.com makes every effort to provide high quality images, and measurements to assist you in selecting your Rug or Furniture. However, images may vary in color depending on your monitor color settings. Sometimes measurements are rounded off, and occasionally they will vary slightly from the description. If precise dimensions or colors are critical to your order we suggest contacting us by phone or e-mail in order to further assist you. Please note: We are not responsible for color variations or measurements that slightly off (three inches or less). All Returns will be subject to our return policies & fees.
Will the furniture require assembly? Most items require some assembly unless the product specifically states fully assembled. All parts including tools, screws, nuts and bolts are packed securely in small bags and boxed with easy to follow instructions. Typical tools that you may need include a hammer, an adjustable wrench and screwdrivers. Please email us if you want to check on specific items.
What is the art selection on the website? We have introduced a great line of framed art at discount prices with free shipping. We have negotiated the lowest possible rates to offer our customers fantastic art work for every room. On this portion of our website we provide you a link to the art company directly for more selection and verity. Therefore once you are on their website they may not accept any store credits or coupons from our company. Purchases from the art vendor falls under their own store policies listed on their website and separate shopping carts.
Is it safe to order online? Absolutely! Your Order can be completed online by simply clicking the "Buy Now" button under the shopping cart. To better protect you we partnered with PayPal their secure server will protect and scramble all of your shipping and credit card numbers with Industry-Standard SSL encryption technology. If you feel more comfortable you may phone or fax your order. However, placing your order online via PayPal is extremely safe and secure. Your privacy and security is our number one priority.
Can I order by phone or fax? We recommend using our web site to place your order although our customer care representatives are available Monday-Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00PM EST to assist you if you prefer to order by phone at: (866) 640 - 0336.

How can I pay for my order? ShopAreaRugs.com accepts Discover, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, checks or money orders via PayPal. Your credit card will be charged within 7 days of placing your order.
How do I pay by personal check or money order? ShopAreaRugs.com accepts Money Orders, personal & business checks. All Checks must clear before merchandise will be shipped. If you would like to pay by check just print out an order form and mail it to us. Be sure to enter the correct item codes & sizes. You may also order via telephone. Do you charge sales tax? There is no sales tax collected on any order shipped outside of New Jersey. ShopAreaRugs.com will pay the appropriate sales tax for orders shipped within NJ State. If you are New Jersey resident we appreciate your business and to prove it WE PAY YOU’RE TAXES. To do so make sure before checkout use e-chat to redeem your code. Tax Exempt Organizations should fax resale certificates after placing your order.
How much is shipping? We provide free shipping within the 48 US contiguous states. Orders Shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada or Puerto Rico will incur an additional charge of $100 per package for all rugs 6’x9’ and under, $200 per package for rugs between 6’x9’ and 10’x12’ and $390 for all items larger than 10’x12’. A shipping charge will be added for any promotional items such as free pad, runner or scatter rug.
Canadian orders may be subject to border taxes and import fees at the customer’s expense & responsibility. We do not ship outside the U.S or Canada.
How long will it take to receive my order? In Stock items usually ship within 5 to 7 days. Estimate arrival time is shown below. Since Inventory changes frequently we will provide an estimated ship date when you place your order. We will send you tracking numbers via e-mail as soon as they are available.

How will you ship my order? We ship UPS Ground for most items. Oversize items or multiple quantity orders will ship via Truck. Customer must be present to inspect, accept and sign for their delivery. Some NJ orders ship via our own delivery service. Please note unless specifically noted as "White Glove Delivery" trucking orders will be curb side delivery & you should expect to have help available on delivery. White Glove delivery is available for an additional fee; please contact customer service via Customerservice@ShopAreaRugs.com, 1-866-640-0336 or Live Chat if you require White Glove delivery.
What about delivery confirmation? Customer service will send tracking numbers through e-mail. This will allow you to track your order. You will usually receive a phone call for large items that ship via Truck to work out shipping details.
What about international delivery? We currently ship throughout the United States and Most of Canada.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you would like to cancel an order that has not shipped from our manufacturer, simply contact one of our customer service representatives via Customerservice@ShopAreaRugs.com / 1-866-640-0336 or Live Chat. Then we will submit a request to the manufacturer for cancellation. Shortly after, you will receive an email acknowledging your cancellation request followed by another email either confirming the cancelation or stating that we were unable to cancel. What if my item arrives damaged? Our staff is full trained to offer any assistance to help you. Our excellent packaging and shipping experience reduces the chances of damage. However, we understand that occasionally a product may get damaged in transit, or there may be a manufacturer product defect. Rest assured, we will stand by you during this process and make sure we do everything we can to bring it to a satisfying and timely conclusion- at no expense to you. For us to offer this level of service, however, we need a little help from your side in the form of a detailed product inspection immediately upon delivery.
